Charge – Twelve robberies are charged with youth gangs

The Salzburg public prosecutor is bringing charges against eight young people between the ages of 14 and 17. They are said to have committed dozens of crimes: In addition to twelve robberies, they are also accused of 13 assaults and ten thefts.

On 40 pages, the public prosecutor describes the eight accused, their crimes and their violent behavior. An example? “If you don’t give me five euros, I’ll beat you up,” was one of the threats. The list of allegations is long: 12 robberies, some even involving the use of weapons, 13 cases of serious bodily harm and ten thefts, as well as coercion, blackmail, dangerous threats and resistance to state authority. Six of the eight boys have already been convicted – two are even behind bars , including a 14-year-old. The crimes are said to have been committed by the young criminals in different constellations between April 30th and October 16th. The crime scenes can usually be found in the city center, but they also struck on Rupertikirtag or the Dult. The victims were mostly students of the same age – several are represented by the White Ring lawyer Stefan Rieder. And the loot? Often only small change or items such as shoes and headphones. Long prison sentences are threatened for this.
