The third season of the historic hospital series "Charité" started on Tuesday evening with great ratings for the first.

The start of the third season of the historic hospital series "Charité" on Tuesday evening was a success in terms of ratings. 5.84 million viewers tuned in to episode one "Iron Lung", which was broadcast on Erste from 8:15 p.m. In episode two "bloodsuckers" from 9 p.m. it was 5.75 million. The documentary "" The Charité – A Hospital in the Cold War "watched an average of 4.28 million people from 9:50 pm.

According to "DWDL", no episode of the second season (2019), which is set in the time of National Socialism, achieved similarly high values. On the other hand, all episodes of the first season (2017), which takes place in the period of the medical progress that was largely shaped at the Charité at the end of the 19th century, attracted even more viewers – 6.6 to 8.3 million – than the beginning of season three. Next Tuesday, the consequences of three "limit values" and four "respiratory arrest" will be shown.
