Present at the coronation of Charles III on May 6, Charlène and Albert were not authorized to offer a gift to the king for a very specific reason…

The coronation of Charles III took place on May 6 in Westminster Abbey. A ceremony both solemn and grandiose which was punctuated by many significant moments. While many personalities took part in the event, Albert and Charlene of Monaco were also present at the exceptional ceremony. If they were lucky enough to be able to attend the ceremony, they couldn’t bring any gifts due to protocol.

This is what Prince Albert confided in an interview with Hello !. “Unfortunately, the protocol does not allow us to bring back a gift”, he confided. Albert of Monaco would however like to gratify the sovereign by another means. “But I’m looking for another way to give it to him, privately, at another time. Otherwise, we’re not allowed to bring gifts,” he continued. A disappointment for the husband of Charlene of Monaco who intends to catch up in another way.
