Charles III soon to be crowned: big changes planned for the king and a very symbolic date!

The funeral of Queen Elizabeth II has taken place and now the reign of Charles III started. But already, the new monarch is considering major changes. In fact, we learn from DailyMail, that William and Harry’s father wants a lightened coronation next spring, to reflect his new monarchy. And it is a very special date that he could choose since he would do so on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of his mother’s coronation reign. Whoever is about to enter a period of royal mourning, is thought to hold the service on June 2 next year.

Operation Golden Orb“, which is the name given to Charles’ coronation planning, is already underway. Sources revealed that the coronation ceremony is expected to be “shorter, smaller and cheaper” than the one who saw his mother crowned queen in 1953. Charles III thus intends to show the whole world how his “slim monarchy” will work in the future. He hopes through this message to remind that he takes into account the current crisis of the cost of living which grips his nation. The traditional aspects, however, should remain unchanged. And to promote the protection of diversity in the UK, the husband of Queen Consort Camilla may well invite members of different faiths, including Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus and Buddhists as part of the congregation.

A majestic and (very) expensive ceremony

But this information should not immediately be made public since the royal family is about to enter a period of royal mourning. After the funeral of Elizabeth II, they will indeed join Balmoral, where she died on September 8th. But the operationGolden Orb” is in any case well launched, and if His Majesty had to wait sixteen months for his own inauguration in 1953, that of Charles should take place in a much shorter time. When it is mentioned that the ceremony should be less expensive, is that that of Queen Elizabeth II had been majestic, we are talking about a cost of 1.57 million pounds sterling at the time, or around 45 million pounds sterling today.
