Charlie Hunnam: He would be "100 percent" ready for James Bond

British actor Charlie Hunnam would like to succeed Daniel Craig in the role of secret agent James Bond.

The British actor Charlie Hunnam (40, "Sons of Anarchy") would be "100 percent" ready to slip into the new cult role of secret agent James Bond, as he told "People" magazine on the sidelines of the presentation of his new film "Jungleland" said.

Actor would be "flattered"

"As an Englishman, I would be so flattered and honored to be considered as James Bond," he added when asked. "But my intuition tells me not to wait for that call. I think there are a lot of people ahead of me on the list."

The Briton is very happy that his fans got him talking about the cult series. And he wishes they didn't stop there either. Because maybe it will lead to "those responsible in the film industry actually talking about it more seriously," joked Hunnam.

Charlie Hunnam is best known for starring in the series "Sons of Anarchy" (2008-2014). Most recently he was seen alongside Matthew McConaughey (51) in Guy Ritchie's (52) "The Gentlemen" (2019). The last James Bond film with Daniel Craig (52) in the agent role, "No Time to Die", is due to start in April 2021 after several postponements.
