The marriage between presenter Charlotte Würdig (41) and rapper Sido (39, "Das goldene Album"), whose real name is Paul Würdig, failed after eight years. Now she speaks for the first time about the separation. "At some point I realized that we could no longer exist as the classic couple – with the values and morals that had once been agreed," explains Charlotte Würdig in an interview with the magazine "Gala".
"Nothing works anymore"
There was not "this single, decisive moment", nor a "shock moment", the moderator continued. "You try to fight, but then the point comes, nothing works," she admits. In addition, the 41-year-old says: "In a marriage with children you fight to the bitter end. But at some point we couldn't do it anymore either." Whether a third person played a role in the separation, she replies with a clear statement: "There was absolutely no such thing with me."
She describes the current relationship with Sido as follows: "We really work very well as parents. Also as a family, but now on a completely different level." The ex-couple live "close to each other", even holidays with the children do not rule them out. "Paul and I can still sit together at one table," says Charlotte Würdig. "Eight years weren't just wiped out." Divorce is not an issue "at the moment".

Sido has so far not made a public statement about the separation. Meanwhile, he posted a photo of himself on his Instagram account on Monday. His comment: "No retreat, no giving up !!!"
Charlotte Engelhardt and Paul Würdig married in 2012. Together they have two sons. In mid-March, she announced the separation via Instagram Story after eight years of marriage.
