Charwood Energy (ISIN: FR001400AJ60, mnemonic: ALCWE), French specialist in tailor-made solutions for energy recovery from biomass, announces the commissioning of a 4.7 MW installation comprising a biomass boiler room and a heat network for its ENGIE Solutions customer, serving ZAC Guillaumet in Toulouse.

As part of this project, ENGIE Solutions, prime contractor and operator of the future heating network, selected Charwood Energy for its expertise in wood energy and the turnkey nature of its solution.

With two wood-fired boilers (and two emergency gas boilers) with a total power of 4.7 MW, 3 km of heating network and 24 substations, eventually 1,200 housing units, as well as 23,300 m² of shops, offices and public buildings, will be served. The gas units will be commissioned in early November, while the wood boilers will be commissioned in early 2023.

Worth a total of more than 2 million euros, the solution developed by Charwood Energy has already given rise to new studies on other sites in the region and across France.
