The AI assistant ChatGPT experienced a glitch early Thursday morning. Over 1,000 affected people use our fault reporter to explain to us where difficulties are currently occurring.
AI is not immune to technical difficulties either. On Thursday morning around 8:30 a.m. we received hundreds of reports from people who could no longer use ChatGPT. There is a nationwide disruption.
But where is the problem right now? More than half of the affected users tell us that there are problems with the ChatGPT website. We also receive reports of login problems and difficulties receiving and sending messages. Around a tenth also stated “other problems”.
Apparently not all users are affected
We tried to access the ChatGPT website ourselves and it worked without any problems for us. As a result, not all users are affected by the disruption, but only selected users.
From time to time, ChatGPT struggles with overloaded servers and too many users. It’s quite possible that this is precisely the reason for the problem. However, since the operators have not yet commented, this remains speculation at this point. However, if this is the cause of the problem, we expect the situation to calm down again shortly.
