The artificial intelligence ChatGPT is actually supposed to help you spice up texts or collect ideas. But that doesn’t seem to be possible at the moment. Many users of OpenAI’s AI report to our troubleshooter that they cannot access the website and have problems receiving and sending messages.
The practical application has been down again and again since the afternoon of November 8th, 2023. The entire federal territory is affected, but especially West Germany. Reports from metropolises such as Frankfurt am Main, Berlin and Munich are particularly well represented. The problems were also identified during a self-test in our Hamburg editorial team. When visiting the website, the error message appears “Hmm…something seems to have gone wrong”. Even if the site is accessible, not everything works as it should.
The manufacturer OpenAI is aware of the problem. It is probably a failure that also affects the application programming interface (API) and thus paralyzes the entire program, as OpenAI reports. A technical team is currently working on a solution. However, it is not yet clear when ChatGPT will be fully functional again.
