Cheaper than expected: Sony’s new OLED and mini-LED TVs cost that

Sony has indirectly revealed the prices of its upcoming QD OLED and Mini LED TVs. Accordingly, the top model will cost significantly less than originally thought. With the mini LED backlight, on the other hand, customers have to dig deep into their pockets.

Sony: Prices for top televisions cheaper than expected

With the A95K, Sony is planning a large QD OLED television, which is the first to have a diagonal of 65 inches. According to previous reports, the top model should go on sale for a sum of around 6,000 euros. As it turns out, they might “only” about 3,500 euros will. If customers are satisfied with 55 inches for the Sony A95K, then around 2,650 euros will probably be enough.

Sony has given the prices mentioned indirectly on its own website. Was that what you wanted?, may be doubted. The prices have been calculated from the “Sony Reward Points”, i.e. from the number of bonus points that buyers in the USA receive when they choose a model (source: HDTVTest on YouTube). In this country, the televisions could come onto the market at a slightly different price.

In addition to the A95K are also the Prices for the other QD OLED models known. Accordingly, the A80K is to be offered in the variants 55, 65 and 77 inches at prices equivalent to around 1,580, 2,025 and 3,080 euros.

This is what OLED TVs do better:

Sony: Big mini LED TVs are getting expensive

Mini-LEDs offer significantly higher brightness, which Sony is paying well for in its upcoming televisions. Should it then be a diagonal of 85 inches and 8K resolution, then Sony asks customers of the Z9K to do so around 8,800 euros to checkout. The 75-inch version costs 6,200 euros.

They cost a lot less X80K and X90K series LCD models, which are probably offered from 530 euros. With the X80K it goes up to 1,150 euros (75 inches), with the X90K the top model apparently costs 2,640 euros (85 inches).
