The whole world is (equally) bad and affairs probably happen everywhere. A new study has revealed which federal states are particularly likely to cheat.
Problems in the relationship, a disturbed self-esteem or just for this kick, this moment – the background to an affair or an affair is diverse and usually complex. But the portal “seitensprung-fibel.de” ignored everything complicated about this topic and asked a simple question: Where (in Germany) do most people cheat?
To answer this, the portal evaluated around 270,000 profiles from various cheating platforms (yes, there is such a thing and they are called, for example, “Lovepoint” or – not at all clear – “Firstaffair”) and based on this created a “cheating atlas”. The most unfaithful federal states are…

In all of these countries the According to data, the willingness to cheat is higher than the German averagewith Hamburg topping the list by a wide margin: In the small rainy spot between Schleswig-Holstein and Lower Saxony (one of the most beautiful spots in the world, by the way😘) the probability of a man or a woman cheating is 122 percent higher than in the rest of Germany. In the Pott it is only 41 percent and in Brandenburg 37.
The lowest is the interest in cheating according to the research in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania And people in Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt are also more faithful than average (or don’t look for their affair on the Internet…).
And the state capitals?
Also In a comparison of the state capitals, Hamburg takes the rather dishonorable first place – with a three times more likely to cheat like the average German. The second and third most unfaithful capital cities came in this study Dusseldorf (143 percent higher probability) and Munich (118 percent more likely) – perhaps not so surprising given Carnival and Oktoberfest…
What Cities in general as far as the state capitals are concerned most unfaithful people in central western Germany: Frankfurt am Main (Hesse), Neuss (North Rhine-Westphalia) and Wuppertal (North Rhine-Westphalia) top the list, while the best Germans live in Neubrandenburg (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania), Straubing (Bavaria) and Amberg (Bavaria).
Also interesting: While in the northwestern federal states (including Hesse) and Berlin, men seem to be more interested in cheating, in the east and south it is more women who are looking for a change in bed from time to time.
But ultimately, of course, no matter where you live, the happier the relationship, the lower the likelihood of an affair. Of course, it doesn’t hurt to simply accompany your sweetheart when celebrating on the Reeperbahn, at the carnival or Oktoberfest.
