TikTok rolled out a new effect that’s strongly reminiscent of Apple’s Memojis. Nicknamed TikTok Avatars, these are accessible to everyone. Their deployment is now finalized.
Like their cousins designed by Apple, TikTok Avatars are fully customizable to represent you as faithfully as possible. They can then be used to share content on TikTok. These avatars can also take over your gestures, in the same way as Apple’s Memojis.
How to use TikTok Avatars?
To access TikTok Avatars, nothing very complicated, even if a less laborious approach would have been welcome.
As it stands, you have to open TikTok to click on the “+” icon which allows you to create content. Then go to the effects, just to the left of the red recording button, then to the search by clicking on the magnifying glass. Then type “TikTok Avatars”. This “filter” should appear, select it to access the avatars, create one by yourself or choose a default one, to start recording a video with.
