The Michelin-starred chef, Yannick Alléno, published this Saturday a photo of his son, Antoine, who died on May 8. He announced the creation of an association to help victims of repeat offenders.
Antoine Alléno, 24, died on Sunday May 8 following an accident caused by a driver in the heart of Paris. The young chef, who followed in his father’s footsteps in the kitchen, was the victim of an individual known to the police for several crimes and offenses committed. Arrested a few moments after his accident and indicted for manslaughter, the driver was notably wanted by the authorities because of a prison sentence he had not served.
This Saturday, May 14, the day after Antoine Alléno’s funeral ceremony, his father and starred chef Yannick Alléno posted a new long message on Instagram, thanking in particular the First Lady of France, Brigitte Macron, “for her precious help “, as well as Rachida Dati, mayor of the 7th arrondissement, “for her call at the first moments”.
In the process, the chief announced the creation of an association in the name of his son in order to support the victims of repeat offenders. “I just understood this morning the lack that will haunt me all my life. So, his energy lodged in the depths of my body will be used, through the Antoine Alléno association, to support the victims of repeat offenders,” wrote Yannick Alléno on Instagram.
The father of the victim had paid tribute to his son on the social network on several occasions, by publishing portraits of the young chef and bouquets of flowers left in front of his restaurant.
