Cher
The music icon now also has a TikTok account
Even the great music legends cannot escape the TikTok hype. Cher now also has an account on the video platform.
Avril Lavigne (36), the Backstreet Boys, Mariah Carey (52), Gwen Stefani (51) and many more can now be found on the short video platform TikTok. Now a living legend joins it: singer Cher (75). She surprised her fans with a short video on Thursday just before the end of Pride month.
In the clip, the 75-year-old music diva shows herself in different outfits, one with blonde and one with black hair. For her TikTok debut, the singer needs several attempts to find the right words. “Hey, it’s me, the great and mighty Cher and I’m on TikTok,” she begins the video. After two more attempts at greeting, she turns to her fans with a message and says: “Happy Pride Month to everyone in the community that I love – you!”
Stars use the TikTok hype
The video is already thrilling many TikTok users – the clip has already been clicked over 3.5 million times. The video platform is enjoying more and more star presence. Videos from world-famous celebrities are becoming more and more real hits there.
So most recently with Jason Derulo, who set off a real trend with his song “Savage Love” – millions of users always danced the same little rehearsed choreography to the beat. The song even animated stars like Jennifer Lopez (51) and Lizzo (33) to dance. The singer’s song became commercially successful, and the videos for it had hundreds of millions of views.
