Cherno Jobatey melted his pounds during the corona lockdown. The ZDF presenter celebrates a great success today.

Cherno Jobatey (55) celebrates enormous success. As the ZDF presenter reveals in an interview with the magazine “Bunte”, he declared war on his “Corona-Wampe” last year and since March 2020 has lost a whopping 40 kilograms.

When he started to change his everyday life and his eating habits, he weighed “well over 100 kilos” at a height of 1.90 meters: “A real fighting weight. When I stood on the scales, I thought that would be broken. ” Chocolate and Co. were then a thing of the past and were replaced by a balanced diet. “I only eat when I’m hungry. Little meat, a lot of salad and vegetables. But I haven’t become a vegan,” said Jobatey.

He also rediscovered sport for himself. According to this, he runs every other day for one and a half hours around three lakes in the southwest of Berlin, at home he strolls on his home trainer and also does yoga. In total, he currently trains seven days a week: “You can eat as healthily as you want – you won’t lose weight permanently without exercise.”

A whole new body feeling

The moderator had to give away a large part of his old clothes. “Now I’m buying three sizes smaller. […] The lifebuoy around my stomach was already on my brain. When I was fat, I felt sluggish and listless. Now sometimes I think I have a turbocharger strapped to my back, I have that much energy. I’m in the shape of my life, “says Jobatey happily.

Cherno Jobatey was the presenter of numerous ARD programs in the 1990s, including “Do you understand fun?” From 1998 to 2002. From 1992 until 2012 he was part of the ZDF Morgenmagazin team. The presenter is currently guiding through the ZDF section “mima-Helden”.
