Cheyenne Ochsenknecht: She won't let the Halloween fun be spoiled

Because of the corona pandemic, Natascha Ochsenknecht's legendary Halloween party is canceled. Instead, your daughter Cheyenne celebrates virtually.

This year everything is different – including Halloween. Cheyenne Ochsenknecht (20) celebrates the horror festival this year virtually and surprises in an iron costume at Fanta's digital Halloween show. The brand prefers to be silly on Halloween instead of being scary by focusing on everyday costumes. "Halloween doesn't always have to be scary, it can also be funny," says Cheyenne. Nevertheless, this year, of course, she misses the legendary Halloween party of her mother Natascha Ochsenknecht (56), as she further reveals in the interview.

In the past few years you put on scary outfits and showed yourself as a zombie Hermione, why now a costume as an iron?

Cheyenne Ochsenknecht: In fact, I decided on the iron costume because I don't like ironing that much. My clothes are never ironed, so I prefer to wear them wrinkled and wrinkled. I also didn't want to look so scary, so I decided on something that I find particularly silly and funny.

Due to the corona pandemic, your mother's legendary Halloween party is canceled. How sad are you about that?

Ochsenknecht: I am very sad that mom’s party is not taking place this year. You can tell that something is missing without her party, but of course the security measures to restrict the coronavirus take precedence. But that won't stop me and my friend from wearing a costume! We stay at home and just spend the day with the close family and with Fanta's digital Halloween show. We will also watch the children in their cute costumes.

You only recently moved and left Germany. Do you sometimes feel homesick for Berlin?

Ochsenknecht: Yes, we were drawn abroad. We love Berlin and would always choose Berlin if we moved to a city. But Berlin became a little too unsafe for us and, due to Corona, also too dangerous to health. That's why we ended up abroad and in the country, where we have good air and peace and more space to live.

How is living with your boyfriend?

Ochsenknecht: It's going great, we moved in together after three weeks and are enjoying it a lot and we can't do without each other. We do everything together as well as we can because we like to experience everything together and like to have a lot of fun together. To be honest, such little silliness always loosen up everyday life. For example, the first time he saw me in an iron suit, he couldn't stop laughing because he thought the sight was so silly. That was pretty fun for both of us!
