Husband Fedez has pancreatic cancer

After Chiara Ferragni’s husband Fedez announced last week that he was seriously ill, he now reveals: “I have a rare neuroendocrine tumor in the pancreas.”
A few days ago, Fedez, 32, husband of Italian influencer Chiara Ferragni, 34, worried his fans. In his Instagram story he was close to tears and explained that he had health problems. What exactly Federico Leonardo Lucia, as Fedez is called by birth, is suffering from, he did not reveal at first. The Italian rapper and influencer explained shortly afterwards that Tuesday, March 22, 2022, would be an “important day” for him.
In a new Instagram post, he now reveals that he has pancreatic cancer and has had an operation.

He writes: “Last week I found out that I have a rare neuroendocrine tumor in my pancreas. One of those things that if you don’t catch them in time, they’re not a comfortable roommate in your own body. That’s why I had to undergo a six-hour operation undergo to remove part of my pancreas (including the tumor).”
According to the Universitätsklinikum Gießen/Marburg, “neuroendocrine tumors of the pancreas (PETs) account for about five percent of all diagnosed tumors of the pancreas”. However, the “long-term life expectancy in patients with these tumors” is significantly better than in the more common tumor variants of the pancreas. Fortunately, Fedez’s disease was “recognized with very good timing,” as he explained in his Instagram story last week.
Fedez is fine after the surgery
Two days after the operation, he is doing well and looking forward to going home to his children, Chiara’s husband continues in the current Instagram post. The couple have son Leone, four, and daughter Vittoria, who just turned one.
He concludes his contribution with the following words of thanks: “I would like to thank the doctors, surgeons and nurses who have stood by me during these intense days. Also a huge thank you for all the messages of support and positivity you have sent me.”
Chiara Ferragni, one of the world’s most successful influencers, does not leave her husband’s side during these difficult hours.
