Season 10 of the US series “Chicago Fire” is currently being broadcast on NBC. In May 2022, the season will come to its finale and with a highlight for the fans: Jesse Spencer returns as Matt Casey. The reason for this is the wedding of his friend Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo).
“The juicy bits are we went up to him and said, ‘You’re so loved on this show. And with the Severide wedding coming up, there’s no way Casey would miss out on his best friend getting married. Come on, Man!’ So he graciously agreed to come back for the finale,” executive producer Derek Haas told Deadline magazine.

Casey will serve as Severide’s best man at the wedding, much to the chagrin of Cruz (Joe Minoso). And with Casey needing a date for the wedding, fans can expect the return of Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer), who was absent for a few episodes to visit her boyfriend in Oregon. But the future looks bleak for Brettsey fans, as Haas and Executive Producer Andrea Newman confirm that Killmer will continue with the series and Spencer will not.
And since weddings bring people together, will Monica Raymund (“Lie to Me”, “Hightown”) return as Gabby Dawson?
“I spoke to Monica, she’s directing an episode of the new TV series National Treasure. So she’s very busy. She’s directed a lot. She’s outperformed Dawson. Andrea and I talked her into coming back a couple of times , but I don’t think she’ll be back any time soon.”
