Chick injured – Lower Austria: Police rescued duck family on B43

On Wednesday morning, the police in Traismauer (Lower Austria) were called to an extraordinary operation. A duck family wanted to cross the B43. However, due to the heavy traffic, the venture turned out to be impossible. However, with the active support of the police, the family of ducks waddled safely to the other side of the street.

A courageous family of ducks dared to take the B43 in the Traismauer urban area. But crossing the street turned out to be more difficult than expected due to the hectic traffic. The police officers were quickly on the scene and guided the family of animals safely across the dangerous road. Traffic was temporarily stopped during the rescue operation until the family could be taken to a secure green area. During the animal rescue operation, an injured duckling was also noticed, which was away from the family. The chick will be looked after by a private individual who was contacted via a veterinarian.
