He raced through a garden, escaping the cops who were chasing him. Finally, the officers discovered the boy on a dirt road and took up the chase – this time in a patrol car. The moped driver drove at up to 90 km/h through 30 zones and endangered pedestrians, including children. At an intersection, the moped driver lost control of his vehicle due to excessive speed and fell. The police officers immediately following provided first aid to the slightly injured driver, a 17-year-old from St. Thomas near Waizenkirchen. The motive for fleeing was quickly found during the investigations: mopeds were neither registered nor insured.
