China Aviation Supplies to buy 140 Airbus aircraft for about $17 billion


BEIJING, Nov 4 (Reuters) – China Aviation Supplies Holding has signed an agreement to buy 140 Airbus aircraft for around $17 billion (17.4 billion euros), the Chinese company said on Friday.

The deal includes 132 A320 series aircraft and eight A350s, China Aviation Supplies Holding said, adding that the purchase aims to meet demand from China’s airline industry.

Airbus said the purchase was part of an order for 292 aircraft announced in July. (Report Albee Zhang and Brenda Goh; French version Valentine Baldassari)
