China: Services activity at near year-to-date peak: Caixin

BEIJING (Reuters) – China’s services sector activity rebounded in June after three months of decline to grow at its fastest pace in nearly a year as the easing of health measures in the face of COVID-19 revived the request, show the results of a private investigation published on Tuesday.

The services PMI calculated by Caixin came in at 54.5 last month, down from 41.4 in May, a peak since July 2021.

A new orders sub-index climbed in June to 52.4, its highest since the start of the year, after 44.8 the previous month.

The composite index calculated by Caixin, which includes industry and services, rose to 55.3 from 42.2 in May.
