China: Shenzhen city limits occupancy rate in public places

BEIJING, Nov 27 (Reuters) – The Chinese city of Shenzhen will limit occupancy rates at restaurants and other indoor venues to 50 percent as part of coronavirus prevention measures, the local government said.

New arrivals to the southern city will be barred from entering venues such as theaters and sports halls for the first three days, the government said in a notice posted on WeChat.

At a press conference, local authorities also asked the majority of businesses, employees and residents to work from home from Monday to Friday. (Beijing office, with David Kirton in Shenzhen; French version Kate Entringer)
