Chinese F1 Grand Prix canceled again in 2023 “due to COVID”

LONDON, Dec 2 (Reuters) – The Chinese Formula One Grand Prix, which was due to take place on April 16 in Shanghai, has been canceled for the fourth consecutive year due to the country’s health situation, F1 announced on Friday in a communicated.

The instance evokes the “persistent difficulties caused by COVID-19”.

“Formula 1 is evaluating alternative options to replace this slot on the 2023 calendar and will provide an update on this in due course.” (Alan Baldwin report, French version Lina Golovnya, edited by Sophie Louet)
