How to locate the iconic pistol Skippy in Cyberpunk 2077?
As you navigate the expansive world of Cyberpunk 2077, you’ll encounter a variety of iconic weapons that enhance your gameplay experience. Among these unique items is the iconic pistol Skippy, which you may stumble upon while engaging in side missions.
To track down Skippy, simply follow the markers associated with your side quests, as his location is tied to one of them. To simplify your search, refer to the accompanying screenshot for precise coordinates. Skippy can be found next to a corpse in an alley located to the east of the Heywood district.
What shooting mode should you select for Skippy in Cyberpunk 2077?
Upon acquiring the iconic pistol Skippy, you’ll quickly recognize its distinctive nature. Much like the beloved Claptrap from Borderlands, Skippy is quite the talker and will engage you in conversation. During your initial chat, you’ll be presented with a crucial decision regarding its shooting mode:
- Relentless Killer
- Pacifist Animal Friend
The Relentless Killer mode transforms Skippy into a lethal weapon, ensuring every shot is a headshot. Conversely, the Pacifist Animal Friend mode uses non-lethal rounds, making it less efficient for quickly taking down foes. However, if you want to maximize Skippy’s potential, select the Pacifist Animal Friend mode right away. Regardless of your initial choice, Skippy will permanently switch modes after you’ve neutralized 50 enemies with the first mode selected. If you opt for the Relentless Killer mode, you’ll end up with a less effective pistol after those eliminations.
Is it advisable to return Skippy to Regina Jones in Cyberpunk 2077?
After dispatching 50 enemies with Skippy, you can continue using it for a while. Eventually, it will prompt you to return it to its original owner, triggering the quest The Machine Gun.
If you opted for the Relentless Killer mode, returning the pistol to Regina Jones is a no-brainer. Even if you initially chose wisely, we recommend handing it back. By doing so, Regina will reset Skippy, removing its AI. She will then offer to buy it back for 7000 credits or return it to you. Skippy, now called Daisy, will retain its shooting mode but will no longer have the ability to annoy you.
On the other hand, if you choose not to return Skippy, its voice will become increasingly grating. It will frequently insult you and may even disrupt your stealth attempts by firing randomly at inconvenient times.
