Celebrity stylist Chris Appleton is said to have filed for divorce from his husband, actor Lukas Gage, after six months of marriage.
In love, engaged, married, separated – and all in one year: in 2023, stylist Chris Appleton (40) and actor Lukas Gage (28) truly experienced ups and downs of emotions. As “TMZ” reported on Monday evening (November 13th), Kim Kardashian’s (43) hairdresser has filed for divorce after just six months of marriage. Just last week, the couple’s wedding was shown on the reality show “The Kardashians.”
Irreconcilable differences
According to the always well-informed US portal, Appleton filed for divorce in court on Monday morning. In the divorce documents, which are said to be available to “TMZ”, he gave the date of separation as last Friday and the reason as “irreconcilable differences”.
The celebrity stylist and “The White Lotus” series actor continued their relationship at record pace. They first made their love public during a trip to Mexico in February and got engaged just a few weeks later. They celebrated their red carpet debut in March and continued to show their affection on their Instagram pages. In mid-March, Chris Appleton raved on “The Drew Barrymore Show”: “I am very much in love.”
Kim Kardashian advised a prenuptial agreement
They crowned their strong feelings with their wedding in Las Vegas in April. The couple married in the presence of reality star Kim Kardashian and singer Shania Twain (58) in the famous Little White Chapel. Footage from the big day was featured on an episode of The Kardashians last week – just days before Appleton filed for divorce. His celebrity client Kim Kardashian hosted the wedding and advised the couple on the show to sign a prenuptial agreement.
The two men took this advice to heart – which could now benefit them in the process of their divorce. It is not yet known what exactly led to the rapid end of the marriage.
