Chris Evans: Marvel star reacts to his photo faux pas

Chris Evans is getting a lot of attention on social media right now – thanks to a nude picture. He's now using that for a good cause.

Typical Captain America? Chris Evans (39, "Knives Out") wants to use the vortex around himself because of an alleged nude picture for a good cause. The Marvel star apparently accidentally published the photo of himself in an Instagram story over the weekend – and it became the number one topic of conversation on social media.

Evans has now commented for the first time: "Now that I have your attention … Vote on November 3rd !!!" wrote the Hollywood star on Twitter, along with an emoji that slaps your hand over your head and one that shrugs. He seems to take his posting faux pas rather calmly and uses it for a good cause. The US presidential election will take place on November 3rd.

That happened

The Captain America actor has only had an Instagram account since May of this year. He wanted to share a video in his Instagram story with his subscribers on Saturday (September 12th) in which he was playing a game. According to media reports, he hadn't edited the clip, so a gallery with pictures and videos was revealed. A "Dick Pic" also appeared there. It is not clear whether this is the best piece by the actor. Evans immediately deleted the video.

The actor then dominated the global Twitter trends for a few hours. Funny memes made the rounds and his Marvel colleague Mark Ruffalo (52, "Avengers: Endgame") alias Hulk jumped at him with encouraging words. "Bro, while Trump is in office, there is NOTHING you can do to embarrass yourself. See … a ray of hope", Ruffalo tweeted.
