In “Poolman” Chris Pine plays a neglected bon vivant. He dressed appropriately at the film’s premiere.
Chris Pine’s (43) new film “Poolman” premiered on Wednesday (April 24) in Los Angeles. The actor was barely recognizable at the event. Instead of his usual neat suit, he came wearing short hiking boots Shorts, beige jacket and boutonniere on the blue carpet. His long blonde hair and shaggy beard were particularly eye-catching.
To do justice to his role, the former “Sexiest Man Alive” arrived at the event in an old blue van. He confidently posed in front of the vehicle, joked with his co-stars and took photos with fans.
The look was a homage to his character in the film. In “Poolman,” Pine plays the lead role of a down-at-heel bon vivant and wannabe philosopher who maintains swimming pools in LA. As Deadline reportsDarren Barrenman uncovers a conspiracy over the course of the film.
Directorial debut for Chris Pine
Chris Pine not only plays the lead role in “Poolman”, but also celebrates his debut as a director with the film. He also wrote the script for the mystery comedy together with Ian Gotler. In addition to the Hollywood star, Danny DeVito (79), Jennifer Jason Leigh (62), Annette Bening (65) and DeWanda Wise (39) can be seen. The film will be released in cinemas in the USA on May 10th. It is not yet clear when it will appear in Germany.
