To celebrate the birth of his daughter, Chris Pratt smoked a cigar with father-in-law Arnold Schwarzenegger. Then the receipt followed.

Chris Pratt (43) caught a lung infection while smoking a cigar with his father-in-law Arnold Schwarzenegger (75). The “Guardians of the Galaxy” star revealed this in an interview with Jimmy Fallon (48) in his “Tonight Show”. Chris Pratt has been married to Katherine Schwarzenegger (33), Arnie’s eldest daughter, since 2019.

The incident happened as early as last spring. On May 21, Eloise was born, the youngest daughter of Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger. To celebrate the day, father-in-law Arnold offered him a cigar. “There’s nothing more manly than Arnold Schwarzenegger smoking a cigar,” Pratt said. “And when you’re about to give birth to your granddaughter, he comes and brings you a cigar.”

“There is peer pressure and there is Schwarzenegger pressure”

Although Pratt suffers from asthma, he didn’t dare refuse the cigar. “There’s peer pressure and there’s Schwarzenegger pressure,” joked the ‘Jurassic World’ actor. The receipt came promptly the next morning. Pratt woke up with a lung infection. How serious it is, of course, cannot be said about ex-comedian Pratt.

Chris Pratt can speak German with “Grandpa” Schwarzenegger

Chris Pratt also revealed what his kids call Arnold Schwarzenegger. You don’t address him as Grandfather, the English word for grandfather, but with the German “Opa”. Pratt also has a daughter, Lyla, with his wife Katherine, who was born in August 2020. His son Jack (10) comes from his failed marriage to fellow actress Anna Faris (46).

By the way, Pratt can talk to his father-in-law in German. He learned the language at school and has some command of it, as he demonstrated in 2015 at the Oscars in conversation with Steven Gätjen (50).

Chris Pratt will voice the legendary video game plumber in ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie,’ which hits theaters this Thursday (April 5). However, only in English.
