Chris Rock is still holding back his opinion on the Oscar slap, but his brother and a friend are now taking Will Smith to court.

Chris Rock, 57, reacted professionally and with humor at the Oscars to the surprising slap in the face of his colleague Will Smith, 53. “Wow, wow, Will Smith just beat the crap out of me,” he joked and did not let his irritation on stage annotate Maybe because, like many others, he just couldn’t believe what just happened at that moment. In retrospect, however, Chris knows exactly what he thinks of the attack against him – nothing at all.

Chris Rock doesn’t want to forgive Will Smith

So far, Chris Rock hasn’t commented in detail on the incident, only telling his audience during a stand-up performance in Boston that he’s still processing it.

And although Will later apologized to Chris on Instagram, he shouldn’t believe in the actor’s remorse. A person close to him, who does not want to be named, has now revealed to “HollywoodLife”. “He can’t imagine forgiving Will for being friends with him. […] Chris Rock doesn’t want Will Smith’s slap in the face to define him and the rest of his career. It sucks that it’s a part of his life forever now.”

According to the source, Chris would prefer not to talk about the incident at all and concentrate fully on his current tour. Nevertheless, he knows that he has to do it at some point, although the whole thing is still very emotional and confusing for him.

Brother Kenny Rock condemns Will Smith’s conduct

While Chris himself still keeps his anger to himself in public, another is hard on Will Smith: his brother Kenny Rock, 42, who also works as an actor.

In an interview with the “Los Angeles Times” he finds clear words: “He made my brother small. He had no respect for him. In my opinion he embarrassed himself and his legacy with it.”

Kenny also clarifies that Chris didn’t know about Jada’s alopecia and wouldn’t have made the joke if he had known about it. That’s why Kenny has a clear opinion on the Instagram apology posted by Will Smith: “No, I don’t accept that because I don’t think it was real. I think his public relations agent and the people who work for him did probably advised him to do so. I might have taken a different view if he had initially apologized when he came on stage and cried and accepted the award, but he didn’t.”

Kenny thinks Will should have left immediately afterwards because he could have done far worse to his brother at that moment. He sees the responsibility at the Academy.
