“The last few years have been a roller coaster ride of emotions, to say the least,” Teigen writes on her post, “but joy has filled our homes and our hearts again.” After the loss of her third child Jack in September 2020, she developed great fears because of the renewed pregnancy.

After every positive doctor’s appointment, she actually wanted to inform her fans, but she was just too nervous every time: “I’m just relieved when I hear a heartbeat.” However, so far in her pregnancy everything has been perfect and beautiful and she feels hopeful. “Phew, it was very hard to keep that to yourself for so long!” Teigen concludes her post.

About two years ago, Teigen also announced via Instagram that her family with husband Legend and two children Luna Simone (6) and Miles Theodore (4) had suffered a pregnancy loss. “We are in shock and in a deep pain that we have never felt,” Teigen wrote at the time. Her son Jack died before he was born.

In a later interview with People magazine, Teigen saidthat she fears she will never be able to have a child again. She later revealed to her fans via Instagram that she had undergone what is known as in vitro fertilization. In this type of artificial insemination, healthy egg cells are taken from the woman and fertilized in a test tube with the man’s sperm cells.
