Christian and Bettina Wulff are said to have married for the third time. Their love is a very special one, even without a new marriage certificate.
Christian (63) and Bettina Wulff (49) – according to the latest media reports, that seems to be more true than ever – share a special love. The two are said to have said yes to each other for the third time last weekend, including the NDR, “Picture” and RTL report consistently. A look at the shared chronicle shows: In the past 15 years their connection has experienced many ups and various downs.
Christian Wulff, who was previously married to Christiane Vogt (62) for around 20 years and has a daughter with her, married Bettina Körner for the first time in 2008. The two became parents of a son in the same year. She brought another son into the marriage. A few months after Wulff’s resignation as the 10th President of the Federal Republic of Germany, his wife published her critically considered autobiography “Beyond the Protocol” in September 2012.
In 2013, the couple separated – for the first time. “The Wulff couple separated last weekend. They will take care of their son together,” quoted at the time “The mirror” from his statement.
But the two could not and did not want to be without each other for long: In the spring of 2015, the ex-Federal President confirmed to the “Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung”: “I am very relieved that my wife and I have found each other again in a new way, with great intensity”. The church wedding followed in the autumn of the same year.
Luck seemed to stop at first. In February 2016, on the sidelines of the “Best Brands 2016” award ceremony in Munich, he revealed in an interview with the news agency spot on news: “Above all, I am very happy that everything is safe again, that the family is doing well and that I I can now pursue my interests again with enthusiasm. I also feel strengthened accordingly because I got through a really difficult time and can now devote myself to pressing issues again.”
Almost two and a half years after this statement, in October 2018, the tide should turn again: “As the lawyer for the Wulff family, I can confirm that Bettina and Christian Wulff have separated amicably and have settled all related issues in a consistent manner and, above all, the responsibility for their children together and in full agreement,” the joint lawyer Christian Schertz told the German Press Agency at the time.
At first, another man was by her side
After this second separation, Bettina Wulff found another love in the meantime. In February 2019, she first appeared publicly with a man named Jan-Henrik Behnken at an event in Hanover, and the two remained a couple until October 2020. Then Behnken said on behalf of the two in a statement: “We confirm that we have separated amicably, remain on friendly terms with each other and ask for your understanding that we will not make any further statements to protect privacy.” Wulff confirmed at “Picture” the separation with the words: “Yes, it is true.”
However, it took until June 2021 for the two to officially be in a relationship again. At the press conference for a charity tournament, Bettina Wulff told the “New Press”: “We live together”. A month later, the new couple made an elegant joint appearance at a state banquet at Bellevue Palace.
So now the latest chapter in the special love story of Christian and Bettina Wulff.
