Reunion for the Splendid! 3 years after their honorary César, the troupe posed for the cover of Paris Match magazine and took part in a few questions.
There was of course talk of possible reunions for a film shoot. The gang, known for its successful saga of Les Bronzés, made up of Christian Clavier, Gérard Jugnot, Thierry Lhermitte, Michel Blanc, Josiane Balasko, Marie-Anne Chazel and Bruno Moynot, is not saying no, but there is a but!
“Doing things together, yes, but…”
“Doing things together, yes, but not Les Bronzés“, explained Michel Blanc in the columns of Paris Match. And added: “We no longer know how to do this humor. It was almost fifty years ago, the world has evolved.“
For Marie-Anne Chazel, the problem is that of writing as a group: “We no longer know how to write together. And we’ll never find the time.”
Les Bronzés go skiing: previously unseen images from the film resurface!
For the record, Patrice Leconte had mentioned the idea that the group could make a film at Ephad! In November 2018, the director of the cult trilogy said: “My secret dream is to do Les Bronzés 4 in a retirement homehe confided. A little bit like The End of the Day of Julien Duvivier with a retirement home for actors, but not only that. And, why not, make the film entirely in black and white?“.
Michel Blanc had already indicated recently that it would be without him if the project were to happen. “No, I won’t participate, it’s over. This is just my opinion, be careful!“, in an interview for Le JDD dating from October 2023.

And added: “That would be hitting the wall. First of all, I’m not crazy about 3, so 4 is not possible. At our age, we would seem to be hanging on to the branches. Jean-Claude Dusse, the public has it at will, because the films are constantly on TV. I am no longer him physically, morally, or artistically.“
Another project with the new generation of comedians?
