Idris Elba is unlikely to be the next James Bond

Christian Louboutin knows Idris Elba very well. Now he has revealed that he doesn’t think his good friend will be the next Bond.
Shoe designer Christian Louboutin (58) has a close friendship with Hollywood actor Idris Elba (48). For many months, rumors have been floating around that the Sexiest Man Alive of 2018 could become the next James Bond. In an interview with “Welt am Sonntag”, however, Louboutin now revealed: “He probably won’t.”
The Parisian did not reveal why the choice apparently did not fall on Elba. However, he regrets the decision very much. “For me he would be the very best, a worthy successor to Sean Connery,” said the actor’s friend in an interview.
Because Elba is the perfect choice from Louboutin’s point of view: “For me, a Bond has to be super sexy, super elegant and animalistic at the same time – exactly the qualities of Idris.” All of Connery’s successors were only a “pale substitute” for Louboutin.
Joint shoe collection from Elba and Louboutin
Idris Elba, his wife Sabrina and Christian Louboutin have been working on a joint shoe collection for a good cause over the past few months. With the shoes in the “Walk a Mile in My Shoes” line, they want to set an example against racism. The friends were inspired for the project after the murder of George Floyd by a police officer in March 2020. All proceeds from the shoe collection, which will be released on June 16, will benefit non-profit organizations against racism.
