US actress Christina Applegate reveals in an emotional post that she has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

US actress Christina Applegate (49, “A terribly nice family”) suffers from multiple sclerosis (MS). She writes on Twitter: “Hi friends. I was diagnosed with MS a few months ago. It’s been a strange journey. But I’ve had so much support from people I know who also have the disease. It’s been a tough road. But how we all know the path goes on and on. Unless some asshole blocks it. “

In another short message she shoves after, “Like one of my friends who has MS said, ‘We’ll get up and take the necessary action’. And that’s what I’m doing. So now I’m asking for privacy. While I’m going through this thing. Thank you “.

Not her first shock diagnosis

MS is not her first shock diagnosis; in 2008 she was diagnosed with breast cancer at a very early stage. Applegate then decided to have a bilateral prophylactic mastectomy. In 2017, she also had her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed as a precaution.

A real series star

The Emmy winner – for her guest role in the US series “Friends” – is best known for her series engagements. She celebrated her breakthrough as Kelly “Dull Cheek” Bundy in the hit sitcom “A Terrible Nice Family” (1987-1997). Since 2019 she can be seen in the Netflix series “Dead To Me”. She was also nominated for a Tony Award for her stage work and has starred in films such as “Super sweet and super sexy” (2002), “Anchorman” (2004, 2013) and “Bad Moms” (2016, 2017).

Christina Applegate is married to the Dutch musician Martyn LeNoble (52) for the second time. Their daughter was born in 2011.
