Christina Hecke: Her life is "more relaxed" after coming out

At the beginning of February this year, "Tatort" star Christina Hecke (41) burst a small bomb in her book "Honestly: My view behind our lives". She revealed that she had been married to a woman, Berlin photographer Stefanie Henn, for two years. In an interview with the "Bild" newspaper, she now talks about the consequences of her coming-out.

The actress had kept her love secret for a long time – for fear of attacks by third parties. In part, this fear has obviously also come true: "There were a few people who did not miss the chance to write pretty ugly things on the Internet," says Hecke. But she also "got as many loving and positive letters as never before".

"There is a woman in my life!"

"But the moment I decided to make my marriage public, I had already set myself up to say: Whatever! Whether people like it or not, they should decide for themselves. It's nice when people tell me something Want to write beautiful things. But my world will not go under if it is not commented on or negatively, "explains the 41-year-old.

Her family has not only responded positively. "I didn't really have to listen to any nice comments either. Understandable, because I also offered my parents something different – for their habits – when I said to them: 'There is a woman in my life!' That caused some irritation because it was not normal, "says Hecke. The actress also reveals what has changed since the coming out. "Life is definitely more relaxed now, but not necessarily easier," she says.
