Jack Handl (1965-2021), the winner of “The Biggest Loser” season from 2012, is dead. This was confirmed by Sat.1. To a picture of the former show candidate the station writes on the show’s official Instagram account: “Rest in peace, Jack!”. Former kickboxer Dr. Christine Theiss (41), who moderated the season at that time, also remembers on the platform to the deceased.

He was “cheerful, loud and cordial”

“Dear Jack, this is how I will keep you in my memory,” she writes about a picture that shows the thin candidate with a washboard stomach. He had previously lost more than 66 kilograms in the weight loss show. Jack was “cheerful, loud and warm”. “In 2012 you were my first winner at ‘The Biggest Loser’ and I can still hear your ‘Zefix’ clearly today”, Theiss continues. In his new home in Thailand, Jack was “torn from life far too early” a few days ago. She wishes his relatives a lot of strength, but is certain: “It will be a little more turbulent in heaven from now on.”

“The Biggest Loser” is a show on Sat.1 in which overweight candidates try to lose as much weight as possible. Theiss has been moderating the format since 2012, which is shown annually with a new season.
