Since Monday January 8, 2024, Bruce Toussaint has been officiating every morning on TF1. The former BFMTV presenter, who revealed his salary, orchestrated a new edition of Good morning ! this Tuesday, May 21 from 6:55 a.m.

As soon as he went on air, he wanted to return to his show from the day before. Despite the Pentecost public holiday, the one against whom the front page took a radical decision was able to count on the presence of his team of columnists. Only one was missing: Christophe Beaugrand.

I needed energy!“: Christophe Beaugrand justifies his absence in Good morning !

For his return to the set of Good morning !the host of Secret Story was kindly tackled by Bruce Toussaint. “It’s the recovery because there were some possibilities from Whit Monday that no one in the team took. Everyone was present yesterday, no one called in sick…“, chanted the presenter of the TF1 morning show, while all eyes turned to Christophe Beaugrand.

He was quick to justify his absence. “Oh listen for once I rested a little! I needed energy! So now I’m pumped up. You’ll love it until 9:30 a.m., I won’t let you go!“, he said to Bruce Toussaint who reacted: “I’m already exhausted…“.

During the Monday May 20 edition of Good morning !, the absence of Christophe Beaugrand had been commented on on set. Benjamin Müller did not hesitate to point out to Bruce Toussaint that the host of Secret Story was the only one in the team to have taken a day off for Pentecost Monday. The morning presenter then had fun pretending not to know who it was.

As was the case at the end of April – Christophe Beaugrand had taken a few days off at the dawn of the launch of season 12 of Secret Story -, the production of Good morning ! called on Karim Bennani to replace him. This notably inherited the column “Decrypting the news”, offered at 7:20 a.m.
