After four years of marketing for the Chromecast 4K with Google TV, an updated version is preparing to appear in 2024. 9to5Google indeed relayed several pieces of information on April 22, 2024 about this new iteration.
The media explains that this new Chromecast 4K with Google TV should feature a new chip, probably the S905X5 processor from Amlogic announced last September.
Engraved in 6 nm, compared to 12 nm for the Amlogic S905X3 of the current model, it should provide a significant performance boost but also support for the AV1 video codec.
