Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition previews new music

The composer of the memorable 1999 soundtrack, Yasunori Mitsuda, is of course mentioned as supervisor, but this track list also credits Mariam Abounnasr, a regular at Chrono Cross arrangements but also a contributor to the Xenoblade and NieR franchises. We also find Aisling McGlynn, from the Irish Choral Ensemble Anunaand the Danish folk group Dreamer’s Circuswho worked on this project by meeting Yasunori Mitsuda during a trip to Japan in 2019. New compositions and arranged music by Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition will be released on vinyl on June 22, 2022.

let’s remember that Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition includes HD reworked 3D models, enhanced character artwork by Nobuteru Yûki, ability to turn off random battles, improved battle features to make battles easier, auto battle mode, and new French localizations, Italian, German and Spanish. The press release also mentions the possibility of choosing between playing the game in its original version or with the improved graphics, but strangely does not mention a similar function concerning the music.
