Chrono Trigger: 21:9, improved controls and x1.5 speed thanks to a new PC, iOS and Android update

Square-Enix came out Chrono Trigger on PC in 2018 and took the opportunity to update the port on iOS and Android. This new version, however, was not technically very neat, forcing the publisher to chain patches to offer fixes and quality of life improvements that are almost mandatory for retro games.

He had since put the project aside, but re-emerges this week from the closet with a welcome new updatein destination to Steamthe Google Play Store and theApp Store. She comes this March 11, 2022 and will allow you to play in 21:9 on compatible screensto benefit from optimized travel control on smartphones and tablets, to go to x1.5 speed during automatic fights, or to enjoy 20 save slots. The section Extras will otherwise be added to the menu of the mobile version. With all that, we’ll almost regret that this polished edition isn’t available on Switch just yet…

The timing of this patch is certainly not innocent: its spiritual sequel, stopwatch Crosswill be remastered in The Radical Dreamers Edition next month. For fans of the universe, the paper work The Chrono Trigger legend is available from €24.99 per Fnac.
