Chryssanthi Kavazi takes part in the 16th season of “Let’s Dance”. In the “Getting to Know Show” she was able to score 19 points and Vadim Garbuzov as a partner. But who she calls behind the scenes and what she wants to prove to the audience, she reveals in an interview with GALA.

Most people know Chryssanthi Kavazi, 34, as Laura Lehmann from the German soap “GZSZ”, but now she wants to face new challenges with “Let’s Dance” and find a way out of her comfort zone.

Out of breath, but incredibly happy, the actress mastered her first dance. With the Charleston, she was not only able to convince the jury, but also the spectators in the audience. Alongside Sally Özcan, 34, and Abdelkarim, 41, she swept across the dance floor. At the end came the great relief of who would be her dance partner. RTL chose Vadim Garbuzov, 35, as the “Perfect Match”, who also shone as her “Charleston” partner during the show. She took second place in the ranking, which she shared with Natalia Yegorova, 48, and Sharon Battiste, 31. Read here who she first told about this spectacle and what is important in a good relationship.

Chryssanthi Kavazi in the GALA interview

GALA: The first show is done. Who do you call first?
Chryssanthi Kavazi: The first call goes straight to my husband.

And what are you going to tell him?
How glad I am that I have the first dance behind me and that I have mastered it.

She and her husband are both in the public eye. How do you still create private moments?
The most important thing is to make time for each other. Respecting others and daring to always see your partner with different and new eyes. That is worth a lot and of course always being thankful that you have such a great partner at your side who makes it easy for you.

What do you want to show people by participating in “Let’s Dance”?
Most people only know me in my role in “GZSZ”, the people who follow me on Instagram may know a little more about me. With “Let’s Dance” I can now show even more of myself. I want people to have fun with me and I would be happy if they also wanted to go a part of this journey with me.

I want people to get to know me and get a little better grip on me.

Who gave you the best tips for preparing for the show?
The best tip was actually that I should train with the right shoes from the start. I got this advice from Valentina Pahde. Unfortunately, that didn’t help that much because we didn’t even have the shoes in preparation for this show and therefore during training. But I noticed that it would definitely have helped me if I had worn heels right away.
