CIBOX, a French consumer electronics company specializing in electric mobility, announces its unaudited turnover for the 4

quarter 2022.

Activity analysis

The unaudited turnover recorded by CIBOX on 4

^th

quarter of 2022 stands at €2.7 million, compared to €6.4 million in the 4

^th

quarter of 2021. For the 2021 financial year, revenue amounted to €12.1 million, down 24% compared to the previous year.

The tensions still present in the first half of 2022 on the supply of certain components did not allow the arrival of new product ranges and to take advantage of the strongest sales period (May-July), particularly in bicycles.

For the year 2022,

• The sale of mobility products and accessories accounted for 96% of total turnover;

• In terms of electric mobility products, Electrically Assisted Bicycles represented 32% of sales and scooters 68%, a distribution consistent with last year;

• Services and accessories represent 4.8% of the company’s total turnover (5% in 2021).

Outlook 2023-2024

In this inflationary context and more recently of social tensions, commercial activity should remain tense in the first months of the year.

The company is continuing its industrial development plan, with a first step consisting of the opening of its new service site in Revin scheduled for 2

quarter of 2023 for which the first recruitments are underway.

“In the first part of 2022, we encountered a delay in the launches of our new products. The teams mobilized to compensate in the second half with a good third quarter in particular. Nevertheless, sales contracted at the end of 2022 and at the start of 2023 in an economic and social context marked by high inflation, leading some buyers to arbitrate and postpone their investments in capital goods. Distributors must therefore manage a higher level of stock.

Mobility products such as electric scooters and bicycles reduce travel costs, we remain confident about the medium-term dynamics of this market.

In this context, the company adapts its resources to the situation. However, we continue to work to strengthen our quality of service and we are preparing for the evolution of our activity towards a more industrial model from 2024.

In view of the start of the electric bicycle manufacturing activity in 2024, the recent partnership with ZX POWER, announced on January 16, 2023 and relating to a commitment of 50,000 bicycles for a potential turnover of 25 million euros , makes sense. »
