Cigarettes on the sly: an Algerian killed, three compatriots in an irregular situation suspected

Three individuals of Algerian origin in an irregular situation in France were arrested in an investigation into the murder of a man on December 2 in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges (Val-de-Marne), linked to the sale of cigarettes to the sidetrack.

The victim, also of Algerian nationality, had been discovered in the early morning, stabbed numerous times. Wounds on the thigh, back, between the shoulder blades and on his face were visible, reports Actu 17. Called on the spot, help could not save him. Without papers, it was his brother who had confirmed his identity at the police station. The police then noticed that the man was on file and known under several identities.

Learning that the victim could have squatted an apartment, investigators went there quickly and arrested a 27-year-old man, also undocumented. He then explained to them that a fight had broken out with two teenagers, against a background of cigarette trafficking. However, suspected of having taken part in it, he was arrested.

By continuing the investigation, the police traced the trace of the two other suspects. Aged 17 and 18, they had been repatriated to Troyes (Aube) by the brother of one of them, to protect them. One was indeed designated on social networks as the murderer. A week after the discovery of the body, the two young people, also from Algeria and in an irregular situation, were arrested in turn.

They denied having a link with the death of their compatriot, however acknowledging a conflict linked to the illegal sale of cigarettes. Charged, they were imprisoned. Analyzes of traces of blood on the clothes of the suspects and the victim are in progress, indicate our colleagues.
