With “Tron” she became a cult: Cindy Morgan appeared in many films and series. It has now been announced that she died at the age of 69.

American actress Cindy Morgan has died. She was 69 years old. Morgan was best known for her roles in “Tron” and “Wahnsinn ohne Handicap”.

The roommate called the police

Like the Palm Beach Police Department Confirmed to People that Morgan’s body was discovered on December 30th at her home in Lake Worth Beach, Florida. Her roommate called the officers after she returned from a trip and the actress didn’t answer her knock. According to initial investigations, there is no suspicion of a crime; Cindy Morgan is said to have died of natural causes.

She appeared in numerous films and series. Her breakthrough came in 1980 as Lacey Underall in the comedy “Wahnsinn ohne Handicap” alongside Chevy Chase (80) and Bill Murray (73). She consolidated her success with the science fiction film “Tron” from 1982, in which she played Dr. Lora Baines and her alter ego Yori played. Later she appeared mainly in television series such as “A Gun for All Cases” and “Falcon Crest”.

She gave herself a new name for her career

Morgan was born in Chicago in 1954; her parents came from Germany and Poland. Her birth name is Cynthia Ann Cichorski, but she changed it right at the start of her career. She initially worked for regional broadcasters as a weather and news announcer. In 1978 she moved to Los Angeles and took acting classes. She also took over dubbing and was active as a producer.
