CINEMA: Avatar 2, the title unveiled with first details and an approaching trailer

After more than a decade of gestation, the saga Avatar that James Cameron wants to direct will finally materialize with several new feature films and will also extend to the middle of the video game with on the one hand Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora developped by Mass Entertainment (Ubisoft) for consoles and PC, and on the other the MMOs Avatar: Reckoning for mobiles. We will therefore be entitled to no less than 4 films by the end of 2028 if nothing changes, starting with Avatar 2which no longer needs to be called that.

As reported in particular by Deadlinethe CinemaCon currently being held in Las Vegas was an opportunity for disney to make a presentation where James Cameron’s next feature has shown up, titled Avatar: The Way of Water (“the way of the water”). The teaser broadcast on the spot will not remain unknown to the public for very long, since it will be screened during the sessions of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness from May 4, which was confirmed by the network Pathe Gaumont. She will then be posted next weekso not before May 11.

We also learn that the first film of 2009 will be re-released in theaters around the world on September 23, with an audio remaster. As for what will tell Avatar: The Way of Water and the other movies, producer Jon Landau talked about connected saga, with the family at the center Sully. They will be all stand-alone with their own conclusionbut will therefore stage the protagonist of the first Avatar, Jake Sullyand his descendants, since he had children with Neytiri People Na’vi on pandora. He will also have to fight by her side as a familiar threat returns to finish what she started… Taken together, all these films will form “a large epic saga”we just ask to see.

What is certain is that the technical part should still be at the top, “pushing the limits even further with a high framerate, 3D in even higher resolution and greater reality in our visual effects” according to the director. The 3D being all the same well out of fashion since and often acting as a gadget now, perhaps this Avatar: The Way of Water Will he revive the phenomenon?

The Blu-ray ofAvatar is sold €15.00 on Amazon if you want to re(immerse) yourself in this universe.
