Next week, a world known to all will make its live action debut in our cinemas, the film Barbie by Greta Gerwig. Surprisingly for such a project of Warner Bros. Pictures, in the end, we only got three trailers since last December, the first two of which served as a teaser, the most recent being named “main trailer” outside of France. For a feature film lasting 1h54, this therefore leaves room for surprises, which is not a bad thing. If you wanted to see a bit more before you decide to go to the theater, a video dedicated to Ken by Ryan Gosling has been uploaded ahead of the premiere in Los Angeles, where the latter pushes the song, as planned.
We already knew the singing talents of the Canadian actor, especially in the excellent La La Land by Damien Chazelle, and he therefore interprets here Just Kena song where the character expresses his unease to be only the nice, handsome blond hanging out with Barbie, the magnet without having anything in return. Others Kenincluding that of Simu Liu, then accompany it in chorus, for a very catchy rendering. And good news, no dubbing is done in the French version during the song.
And to stay within the musical theme, excerpts from Barbie Dreams of FIFTY FIFTY feat. Kaliii And What Was I Made For? of Billie Eilish have been shared.
