CINEMA: Dune: Part Two raises its narrative stakes in a sensational and explosive second trailer

Two years after the excellent Dunes by Denis Villeneuve Warner Bros. Pictures will put the cover back at the end of the year with its direct sequel to the unequivocal title, Dune: Part Two. We were able to discover its very first trailer last May, which laid the foundations of its plot by emphasizing a scene necessarily expected by fans of Frank Herbert’s work, the ride of the Shai Hulud (worm of the sands), and which introduced many characters on the return or new compared to the first film. Even though we didn’t need to see more to be convinced to hit the theaters once again, a second trailer much longer came this Thursday to clearly pose the narrative issues, offering us its share of new and enticing scenes.

VOSTFR Trailer

Chani (Zendaya) and the Fremen will have to face the threat of Harkonnencounting on their Prophet Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) to lead them to victory. A title that Gurney Halleck (Josh Brolin) advises him to use to his advantage, which is not to the liking of the protagonist, who is afraid that his visions will come true and dive Arrakis in chaos.

Although he is hesitant at first, Paul-Muad’Dib Atreides will eventually accept his legacy as Duke of Arrakis to lead his people into battle. The action will therefore be there, as evidenced by a great battle scene, as well as a knife duel between Paul And Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen (Austin Butler), against the backdrop of the political shenanigans of Vladimir Harkonnen (Stellan Skarsgård) and theEmperor Shaddam IV (Christopher Walken).
