The director of the production company Jason Blum himself confirmed the good news: the release date of Five Nights at Freddy’s is set to October 27, 2023 in the United States, right in time for Halloween. It will also see the light of day there simultaneously in the cinema and on the video-on-demand service peacock : we will see later what is planned in France.
The story should be much the same as in the video games, namely that of a night guard having to survive against animatronics far from being cute in a pizzeria, using surveillance cameras in particular. The production is ensured by Emma Tammi (Cursed Land), the scenario by this same Emma Tammi, Seth Cuddeback, and Scott Cawthon, the creator of the game. We will find in the casting Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, Kat Conner Sterling, Mary Stuart Masterson and Matthew Lillard.
Promotion already revolves around videographers and streamers who have enjoyed success through their games on FNAF : some were able to visit the filming sets, including dawkowhich also reveals a first official photo with a child, freddie and the front of the pizzeria.
