CINEMA: Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, a title, action scenes and a good dose of nostalgia for its first trailer

Long before Lara Croft and Nathan Drakethe world has fallen under the spell of an adventurer camped by Harrison Fordwho had made himself known through other works including the first two Star Warsthe charming IndianaJones. Since 1981, we were first treated to a good trilogy then to an attempt to return in 2008 with Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which was clearly not well received by fans. And yet, a fifth project will land next year. The one we called until now Indiana Jones 5for want of anything better, made its debut at the CCXP 2022 taking place since this Thursday in Brazil, with a first trailer that makes you want to, judge for yourself:

Entitled Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (no, Indy is not going to venture on Mercury to find the dial ofOsiris), this feature film expected on June 30, 2023 in North American cinemas is, as a reminder, directed by James Mangold and therefore presents us with action-packed scenes. It’s on the nostalgic lyrics of good old Sallah (John Rhys-Davies) that starts the video, which then does not hesitate to show us close-up the digital rejuvenation work applied to Harrison Ford, who is still 80 years old now. Although taking place in 1969 as previously mentioned, the new baptized enemy Flying (Mads Mikkelsen) will obviously have links with the Nazis and will therefore seek out this famous dial of destiny which is a priori shown in close-up at 0:50. It is after all the DNA of the license. Scenes with the character of Antonio Banderas and the charming Helena (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) are also visible, while the mythical theme of the saga resounds, the soundtrack being not to change composed by John Williams. And just for the final scene of this trailerwe can’t wait to see more.

If you want to get back into the swing of things by (re)discovering the previous films, the quadriology is sold €55.36 on Amazon in UHD Blu-ray.
